From memory as the factory manual also begs the question. The 2 small vent hoses tuck back into the wiring harness along the top frame. The one larger hose goes to the fuel tap and the medimum that is on the manifold or front of carb area to apply running engine vacuum to open the tap. And to the orginal question, if reserve doesn't provide fuel, empty the tank and remove the fuel petcock for cleaning and inspection, reg on uses a standpipe off the bottom of the tank so there is fuel below it when you switch to reserve. I'd guess the reserve hole is plugged with debris, thus not working. Max
